The Glenn Hill Post of the American Legion color guard offers the salute.

Refreshments are served at the museum after the Tribute.

New Building Addition

The Cedar Springs Historical Society is in the process of raising money to build a much needed addition to the Museum.

We have grown so much in the last seven years! Our displays, storage room and library are over crowded. The new addition will almost double the size of the current museum plus have a basement under it for work space and additional storage.

The drawing below, by the architects, shows that the new addition will be on the back side of the museum and will allow us to display more artifacts, increase the size of the genealogy library and develop new displays.
Construction on the new building began in November, we are still excepting donations to help pay for the new displays. Our goal is it to have more interactive displays using new technology. Please help us continue working on this worthy project.

Construction cost for our addition is estimated at $300,000. We are asking for financial, or in-kind support from the Cedar Springs community and surrounding area to help realize our goal and allow final design and construction to begin.

December 18, 2008 The Steelcase Foundation gives $30,000 to the Cedar Springs Museum building fund. This wonderful grant brings the building fund to $175,000 cash and about $75,000 inkind promises. The Society is working to raise the final $75,00 needed to complete the new building.
THANK YOU STEELCASE AND ALL OUR GENEROUS DONORS!
